Marika Vida Gallery Bar “Takeover”

Join us Wednesday January 18, 2017 at 6:30 pm for Marika Vida Gallery Bar “Takeover”. Marika Vida is currently a Wine Educator for the famed Argentine Winery Catena Zapata. Marika will be sharing the Catena Family story as well as her own. Reservations are not required.

The Whiskey Club of Ballantyne

The Whiskey Club of Ballantyne is a monthly tasting event, open to the public, designed to bring whiskey lovers together for socialization and education. Highlights include exclusive distillery portfolios, rare single malts, small batch bourbons, and acclaimed flagship whiskeys from regions around the world. Our Chefs work hard to create complementing light hors d’oeuvres paired with each whiskey sampled to enhance this outstanding tasting experience.

January 27 “New Year, New Macallan”
The Macallan tasting will feature Edition No. 2 and Macallan 12-year Double Cask

  • Macallan No. 2 is the second release in a new annual limited release from the esteemed distillery. The Macallan Edition No. 2 is a collaboration between the Macallan Master Whisky Maker, Bob Dalgarno, and twice-named best restaurant in the world, El Celler de Can Roca. We will also taste Macallan’s first new release with an age statement in three years, the Macallan 12-year Double Cask which is matured in both American and European oak casks that were previously used to age sherry.

February 24 “Whiskey of Japan”
A journey with Gardner Dunn, Suntory Ambassador through Suntory’s Hakushu, Yamazaki, and Chita distilleries featuring a tasting of Suntory Whisky Toki, Hakushu 12-year, and Hibiki Suntory Whisky Japanese Harmony.”

March 31 “Utah’s Whiskey History” with High West Distillery
This informative tasting lead by Trevor Hague Regional Manager of High West Distillery will detail the history of Whiskey in Utah, the first whiskey-fest out west, “Whiskey Street in Salt Lake City,” whiskey’s medicinal purposes, all the way up to the High West Distillery in Park City, Utah’s success and outstanding products within their portfolio.


Journey of Culture & Culinary Excellence

Each Friday and Saturday at 4:30 p.m. hotel guests can experience a Journey of Culture & Culinary Excellence presented by The Concierge featuring a guided tour of exclusive artwork and The Ballantyne history followed by a tasting of flavorful culinary samples. Sign up at the Concierge Desk.

On Wednesday, February 15 through Saturday, February 18, the hotel will offer a magical Princess Tea from 1 p.m. – 4 p.m. The family-friendly event will feature a special menu and décor for royalty. Very British Tea Inspired by Downton Abbey

Join us March 8 – 11 for A Very British Tea.
