Gallery Celebrates National Bourbon Heritage Month with Angel’s Envy to Benefit The Arbor Day Foundation

On September 18, enter for a chance to win giveaways in Gallery Bar.  Gallery will also feature Angel’s Envy based cocktails Manhattan and New York Sour September 18-24.


Complimentary Yoga

Hotel guests can enjoy complimentary yoga sessions weekly every Tuesday and Thursday at 7 a.m. and Saturdays at 8 a.m. through September 30.  Towels and water provided. Please bring your own mat or a limited supply is available. Yoga sessions will be held on the North Lawn adjacent to the pool pending weather. Reservations are not required. Open to all skill levels.


Culture & Culinary Excellence Tour

Each Friday and Saturday at 4:30 p.m. hotel guests can experience a Journey of Culture & Culinary Excellence presented by The Concierge featuring a guided tour of exclusive artwork and The Ballantyne history followed by a tasting of flavorful culinary samples. Sign up at the Concierge Desk.

Afternoon Tea

The Whiskey Club of Ballantyne – Celebrating National Bourbon Heritage Month 
On Friday, September 29, 6:30 p.m., celebrate National Bourbon Heritage Month at Gallery Restaurant’s The Whiskey Club of Ballantyne. The tasting will feature Baker’s, Basil Hayden’s, Bookers’, Maker’s Mark, and Jim Beam Single Barrel. Our culinary team will pair light hors d’oeuvres with each spirit sampled. Ballantyne Whiskey Fest

Experience Ballantyne Whiskey Fest, designed for bourbon and all whiskey lovers, on Saturday, October 21. The day-long event will include whiskeys from around the world tastings from noon to 4 p.m. Educational seminars will be hosted during this time by each of the brand ambassadors and followed by a cocktail reception at 6:30 p.m. and Bourbon Ball Dinner from 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

Seminar leaders include Adam Harris, National American Whiskey brand ambassador; Rachel Ford, Maker’s Mark Diplomat for the East Coast; Michael Egan, national brand ambassador, Irish Whiskey, and Gardner Dunn, east coast brand ambassador, Japanese Whisky; and Bobby “G” Gleason, master mixologist and spirit trainer at Beam Suntory, and Kevin Creasy, Western NC Beam Suntory Ambassador.

In conjunction with the seminars, attendees can enjoy tastings, live entertainment and cocktail demonstrations by local mixologists at The Ballantyne’s South Lawn.

The cost is $275 per person (inclusive) and includes admission to the tasting, two educational seminars (first-come, first-served basis) and cocktails and dinner. Extend the experience by attending an exclusive Maker’s Mark tasting brunch on Sunday, October 22 at 11 a.m. for $75 per person (plus tax & gratuity).

Wizard Tea Inspired by the J. K. Rowling Fantasy Book Series

Experience the magic of Wizard Tea October 25 – 28 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Inspired by the J.K. Rowling fantasy book series, the event will feature Harry Potter-themed sweets and savories. Attendees are encouraged to dress up as their favorite fictional character. The cost is $45 for adults and $25 for children ages 5-12 (excluding tax & gratuity). Psychic Tea

Join us November 15 – 18 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. for Psychic Tea. This Romani-themed specialty tea will feature a fortune teller and the option to add a “Your Fortune” Cocktail for $10. The cost is $45 for adults and $25 for children ages 5-12 (excluding tax & gratuity). Gingerbread Lane Professional, Amateur and Child Competition

The Gingerbread Lane competition offers three independent categories, including professional, amateur and child (ages 12 and under) for entry. The competition will feature enticing first, second and third place prizes for each category. The competition is free to participate.  Entry forms must be received via email by Tuesday, November 28. Gingerbread Lane

Visit The Ballantyne to view an enchanting display of gingerbread creations from Thursday, December 7 through Wednesday, December 27. Gingerbread Lane is free to visit and open to the public, anytime throughout the dates offered. Attendees may vote on their favorite entries with $1 minimum donation per vote. All proceeds will benefit Levine Children’s Hospital (LCH), dedicated to caring for the physical and emotional needs of children and their families.


Christmas

The hotel will offer Christmas Brunch on December 25, 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. The elaborate buffet will include a variety of salads, an assortment of cheese and seafood displays, breakfast items, an omelet station, carving station and indigenous desserts. There will be live holiday music.
