The Ballantyne offers monthly tastings, teas, The Whiskey Club at Ballantyne and seasonal ballroom brunches among many others. Most events are open to the public and require advance reservations.

Thanksgiving Dining at Gallery Restaurant

Gallery Restaurant will feature its à la carte menu for breakfast, 7 a.m. – 11 a.m., and prix fixe menus for lunch, 11 a.m. – 3 p.m., and dinner, 4:30 p.m. – 9 p.m. Gallery Thanksgiving Lunch and Dinner Menus

The Whiskey Club at Ballantyne – Wild Turkey

On Friday, November 24, at 6:30 p.m. experience a “Wild Turkey” Thanksgiving. Tastings will include Wild Turkey 101, Wild Turkey Rare Breed, Russell’s Reserve Single Barrel, Russell’s Reserve 10 year Bourbon and Russell’s Reserve Rye. Our culinary team will pair light hors d’oeuvres with each spirit sampled. The cost is $65 per person (plus tax & gratuity) and space is limited. Reservations are required at (704) 248-4100.


Thanksgiving Ballroom Event

Join The Ballantyne for a favorite tradition in The Ballantyne Ballroom on November 23, 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. Enjoy a bountiful display of seasonal salads, decorative displays, carving stations with regional accompaniments and decadent desserts, as well as live entertainment. Gingerbread Lane Professional, Amateur and Child Competition

The Gingerbread Lane competition offers three independent categories, including professional, amateur and child (ages 12 and under) for entry. The competition will feature enticing first, second and third place prizes for each category. The competition is free to participate.  Entry forms must be received via email by Tuesday, November 28. Gingerbread creations must be delivered to the hotel between Saturday, December 2 at 9 a.m. and Tuesday, December 5 at 6 p.m. Judging will take place on Wednesday, December 6 at 4 p.m.  Entry Form | Competition Guidelines

Holiday Tea

Enjoy Holiday Afternoon Tea in the lobby throughout December. Holiday Afternoon Tea includes a variety of seasonal loose leaf tea blends and a selection of savory tea sandwiches, traditional confectioneries and holiday treats as well as live entertainment with the option to add Champagne for $10. Art for Unity

Join us Saturday, December 2 from 5 p.m. – 8 p.m. for an art show produced by Art for Unity Charlotte, an organization founded by Charlotte high school senior D’mya Sanford. The artwork is available for purchase through silent bidding with winners to be announced at the event’s conclusion. Proceeds will benefit mental health awareness.


Gingerbread Lane

Visit The Ballantyne to view an enchanting display of gingerbread creations from Thursday, December 7 through Wednesday, December 27. Gingerbread Lane is free to visit and open to the public, anytime throughout the dates offered. Attendees may vote on their favorite entries with $1 minimum donation per vote. All proceeds will benefit Levine Children’s Hospital (LCH), dedicated to caring for the physical and emotional needs of children and their families.


Hot Chocolate, Cider & Toddies

Get cozy this holiday season at The Ballantyne from Friday, December 8 through Wednesday, December 27, 2 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. Enjoy hot chocolate with the option to add liqueur along with a selection of garnishes, cider or spiced wine at the Veranda and the charming gingerbread hut adjacent to Gallery Bar.


Whiskey Club at Ballantyne Johnnie Walker Lounge
