The Ballantyne offers monthly tastings, teas and culinary events. For special holiday seasons, bountiful brunches and specialty events are open to all. Many events require advance reservations to guarantee their availability.

Tastings at Gallery Restaurant

Gallery Restaurant will feature tastings with complementing light bites. All tastings are $25 per person and begin at 6pm. Reservations are recommended at (704) 248-4100.

The Scotch Society of Ballantyne

Explore the flavors of Scotch paired with complementing small plates at The Scotch Society of Ballantyne at Gallery Restaurant. The cost is $40 per person. Each event is limited to 20 guests and begins at 6pm. Reservations are required at (704) 248-4100 or cbrobst@theballantynehotel.com.

Sbragia Family Vineyards Dinner

On Friday, November 14 at 7pm, experience a four-course dinner that celebrates the flavorful, locally-sourced cuisine of Gallery Restaurant paired perfectly with the best of the big, rich, polished Sbragia wines. Afternoon Teas

Afternoon Tea is served Tuesday through Saturday from 1pm to 5pm year-round. The cost for each tea is $32 for adults and $16 for junior patrons ages 5-12  (plus tax & gratuity). Reservations are required: (704) 248-4100.


Specialty Teas

Astrological Tea
Guests can enjoy a special tea blended for each Zodiac sign and will receive a corresponding card detailing the Zodiac traits.

Offerings include:

  • October 23 to November 21 – Black currant tea for Scorpio
  • December 22 to January 19 – Decaffeinated Earl Grey supreme tea for Capricorn

Zodiac Tea is available during traditional Afternoon Tea service.

Marie Antoinette Tea is Wednesday, November 5 through Saturday, November 8. Featuring teas inspired by Marie Antoinette, guests can sip on flavorful varieties such as Le Grand Amour (great love), a fruity blend of raspberry and red currant and Je T’aime (I love you), a mix of vanilla and caramel.

Thanksgiving Brunch and Dinner

Join The Ballantyne for a favorite tradition with Thanksgiving Brunch on Thursday, November 27, noon – 4pm Enjoy a bountiful display of seasonal salads, decorative displays, carving stations with regional accompaniments and decadent desserts, as well as live entertainment. Cost is $75 per person, $35 for children, ages 5-13, and complimentary for children ages 4 and under (pricing does not include tax or 23% service charge). Celebrate 2015 in style with an overnight stay at The Ballantyne. The New Year’s Eve Dinner Package includes a luxurious room, dinner for two in Gallery Restaurant, valet parking, internet access and a 4pm late check-out. The package features a special dinner menu and party access. Dressy attire is recommended. Pricing starts at $379 plus tax and gratuity, and the package requires a 72-hour cancellation policy. The Golf Club at Ballantyne to Honor Veterans

Holiday Afternoon Tea

Enjoy Holiday Afternoon Tea in the Lobby throughout December. Holiday Afternoon Tea includes a variety of seasonal loose leaf tea blends and a selection of savory tea sandwiches, traditional confectionaries and holiday treats. Tea is served Wednesday – Sundays in December from 1pm – 5pm (not available on Christmas). A harpist will perform during this time. Hot Chocolate & Toddies

Get cozy in the Lobby Friday – Sundays in December from 2pm – 5pm Enjoy hot chocolate with the option to add liqueur along with a selection of garnishes. The cost is $6 and $9 with liqueur.


Gingerbread Lane Professional & Amateur Competition

The Gingerbread Lane competition offers two independent categories for professional and amateur entries. Both categories will feature enticing prizes, including overnight packages at The Ballantyne Hotel & Lodge and a $500 gift card to Publix, a sponsor of this year’s event. About the Judges


Gingerbread Lane

Visit The Ballantyne to view an enchanting display of gingerbread creations from Thursday, December 11 through Sunday, December 28. Attendees may vote on their favorite entries with $1 minimum donation per vote. All proceeds will benefit Levine Children’s Hospital, dedicated to caring for the physical and emotional needs of children and their families.
