Gingerbread Lane Professional, Amateur and Child Competition
The Gingerbread Lane competition offers three independent categories, including professional, amateur and for the first time, child, (ages 12 and under) for entry. The competition will feature enticing prizes for each category. The competition is free to participate. Entry forms must be received via email by Tuesday, December 1. The Whiskey Club of Ballantyne

Mad Hatter’s Tea Party
On Wednesday, October 7 through Saturday, October 10, 1 p.m. – 5 p.m., experience the magic of “Alice in Wonderland” at The Ballantyne Hotel & Lodge’s Mad Hatter’s Tea Party. The event will feature whimsical teapots and mismatched, colorful tablecloths. The cost is $36 for adults and $18 for junior patrons (excluding tax & gratuity). Afternoon Tea is served Wednesday through Saturday from 1pm to 5pm year-round. The cost for afternoon tea is $32 for adults and $16 for junior patrons ages 5-12 (plus tax and gratuity). Hot Chocolate & Toddies
Get cozy this holiday season at The Ballantyne on Friday – Sunday, December 11 through December 27, 2 p.m. – 5 p.m. (will also be available on Christmas Eve but not on Christmas). Enjoy hot chocolate with the option to add liqueur along with a selection of garnishes at the Veranda and Gallery Bar. The cost is $7 and $10 with liqueur.
Visit The Ballantyne to view an enchanting display of gingerbread creations from Thursday, December 10 through Sunday, December 27. Attendees may vote on their favorite entries with $1 minimum donation per vote. All proceeds will benefit Levine Children’s Hospital (LCH), dedicated to caring for the physical and emotional needs of children and their families. Bissell, The Ballantyne’s parent company, has played an integral role in fundraising for LCH even before its inception.
Also, Santa Claus will make periodic visits to Gingerbread Lane throughout the holiday season.

Gallery Restaurant will be open for dinner on Christmas Eve, 4 p.m. – 9 p.m. The restaurant will feature its regular menu as well as offer a prime rib dinner special.

New Year’s Eve Party and Dinner Package

Celebrate the New Year with The Ballantyne Hotel & Lodge beginning at 9 p.m. by Gallery Restaurant. Enjoy a live-spinning DJ and dancing in the Carolina Room, drink specials, party favors, Champagne toast and live coverage of the New Year’s Eve Times Square countdown. Admission for this 21 and over only event is complimentary for hotel guests.
New Year’s Eve Dinner Package
The New Year’s Eve Dinner Package includes a luxurious room, valet parking, internet access and a 4 p.m. late check-out. The package features a prix fixe menu dinner for two and festive party admission by Gallery Restaurant (excludes alcohol). Dressy attire is recommended.
