Holiday Party and Events Special

The Ballantyne offers a variety of exceptional event space options for social events. The hotel’s talented culinary team has created a special holiday menu for corporate or social events this season. For events hosted Sunday – Thursday, receive 10% off food and beverage pricing with reduced room rental fees and guest room rates. Food and beverage minimums apply. Experience The Ballantyne’s Personal Selection Bourbon

The hotel management partnered with Woodford Reserve to create its own bourbon, which is a blend of two single barrels selected from eight unique barrels. With a rich, rounded taste with flavors of citrus, cinnamon, toffee, caramel, chocolate and hints of baking spices, The Ballantyne Bourbon offers at first a smooth, creamy and then lingering almost spicy finish. The bourbon is available for $14.


Tastings at Gallery Restaurant

Gallery Restaurant will feature tastings with complementing light bites. All tastings are $25 per person and begin at 6pm. Reservations are recommended at (704) 248-4100.

Afternoon Teas

Afternoon Tea is served Tuesday through Saturday from 1pm to 5pm year-round. The cost for each tea is $32 for adults and $16 for junior patrons ages 5-12  (plus tax & gratuity). Reservations are required: (704) 248-4100.


Specialty Teas

Astrological Tea
Guests can enjoy a special tea blended for each Zodiac sign and will receive a corresponding card detailing the Zodiac traits.

Offerings include:

  • December 22 to January 19 – Decaffeinated Earl Grey supreme tea for Capricorn

Zodiac Tea is available during traditional Afternoon Tea service.

Gingerbread Lane Visits and Competition

Visit The Ballantyne to view an enchanting display of gingerbread creations from Thursday, December 11 through Sunday, December 28. Attendees may vote on their favorite entries with $1 minimum donation per vote. All proceeds will benefit Levine Children’s Hospital, dedicated to caring for the physical and emotional needs of children and their families. Open for public viewing daily, at no fee December 11-28, 2014. Inquire at 704 248 4055.

The Gingerbread Lane competition offers two independent categories for professional and amateur entries. Both categories will feature enticing prizes, including overnight packages at The Ballantyne Hotel & Lodge and a $500 gift card to Publix, a sponsor of this year’s event. Christmas Brunch & Dinner

The hotel will offer Christmas Brunch on Thursday, December 25, noon – 4pm. The elaborate buffet will include a variety of salads, an assortment of cheese and seafood displays, breakfast items with omelet station, carving station and indigenous desserts. There will be live holiday music. Cost is $75 per person, $35 for children, ages 5-13, and complimentary for children ages 4 and under (pricing does not include tax or 23% service charge). Gallery Restaurant will be open for dinner on Christmas Eve. The restaurant will feature its regular menu as well as offer a prime rib dinner special on Christmas.

New Year’s Eve Dinner Package at Gallery Restaurant

Celebrate 2015 in style with an overnight stay at The Ballantyne. Holiday Afternoon Tea

Enjoy Holiday Afternoon Tea in the Lobby throughout December. Holiday Afternoon Tea includes a variety of seasonal loose leaf tea blends and a selection of savory tea sandwiches, traditional confectionaries and holiday treats. Get cozy in the Lobby Friday – Sundays in December from 2pm – 5pm Enjoy hot chocolate with the option to add liqueur along with a selection of garnishes. The cost is $6 and $9 with liqueur.
