Thanksgiving, November 26th

Join The Ballantyne for a favorite tradition on November 26, 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. in The Ballantyne Ballroom. Enjoy a bountiful display of seasonal salads, decorative displays, carving stations with regional accompaniments and decadent desserts. Cost is $79 per person, $40 for children, ages 5-12, and complimentary for children ages 4 and under (pricing does not include tax or service charge).

Gallery Restaurant will feature its a la carte menu for brunch, 7 a.m. – 3 p.m., and a 5-course prix fixe menu 4 p.m. – 10 p.m. Cost is $95 per person. Children 12 and under may dine a la carte off the Children’s Menu.

Gallery Thanksgiving Dinner Menu

A special Harvest Afternoon Tea will also be available in the Hotel Lobby from 1:00 – 4:00 p.m. Cost is $60 per person including a glass of Champagne, $25 for children under 12.

*All events will adhere to the state of North Carolina’s Reopening Phase 3 which limits capacities. All necessary precautions will be taken at buffets and food stations including plexiglass barriers and staff to serve. There will be no self-service stations. Masks will be required for all participants and social distancing will be practiced.


Christmas Eve & Christmas Day

Gallery Restaurant will be open on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. On Christmas Eve, the restaurant will feature an à la carte menu for brunch, 7 a.m. – 3 p.m. as well as a 5-course prix fixe menu for dinner, 4 p.m. – 10 p.m. On Christmas Day, the restaurant will feature an à la carte menu for brunch, 7 a.m. – 3 p.m. and 5-course prix fixe menu for dinner, 4 p.m. – 10 p.m.  Cost is $95 per person. Children 12 and under may dine a la carte off the Children’s Menu.

The hotel will also offer Christmas Brunch on December 25, 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. in the Ballantyne Ballroom. The elaborate buffet will include a variety of salads, an assortment of cheese and seafood displays, breakfast items, an omelet station, carving station and holiday desserts. There will be live holiday music. Cost is $79 per person, $40 for children, ages 5-12, and complimentary for children ages 4 and under (pricing does not include tax or service charge).

Afternoon Tea includes a variety of seasonal loose leaf tea blends and a selection of savory tea sandwiches, traditional confectioneries and holiday treats as well as live entertainment.  Tea will be served 1-4 p.m. The cost is $60 for adults including a glass of Champagne and $25 for children, ages 5-12, (plus tax & gratuity).

New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day

Gallery Restaurant will be serving an a la carte Brunch from 7 a.m. – 3 p.m. on New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day.

Bourbon Weekend

Help us Roll Out The Barrel on Friday November 6th and Saturday November 7th, as we welcome the arrival of our 2020 Ballantyne Private Selection Woodford Reserve bourbon! This past February, with assistance from Woodford’s Master Distiller Chris Morris, our very own Hotel General Manager Christophe LeChatton and Director of Restaurants Scott Daniel personally selected two unique barrels of aged bourbon from the Woodford rickhouse (laid down in 2014!) and created a blend like no other. Join us for three separate events throughout the weekend that celebrate the grand unveiling of our signature spirit, and be sure to sign the actual barrel which will be proudly displayed in Gallery Bar for years to come. Friday November 6th – 7:00pm – Ryal Bar & Lounge – $65 (plus tax & gratuity)

Be the first to taste our 2020 Ballantyne Private Selection as Brown-Foreman & Woodford Reserve Brand Ambassador Cameron Brobst leads a discussion and tasting of 4 different expressions from the distillery, each paired with small bites crafted by our chefs. Ballantyne Pastry Class

Saturday November 7th– 2:00pm – Ballantyne Pastry Kitchen and Fairway Ballroom – $65 (plus tax & gratuity)

Meet Ballantyne’s new Pastry Chef Morgan Larsson as he leads a hands-on experience showcasing our Private Selection bourbon as the star of multiple pastry preparations. Afternoon Tea

Beginning Saturday, September 5th, AfternoonTea will be served 1pm to 4pm on Saturdays and Sundays, and as always will feature selections from Rare Tea Co. of London paired with our chefs’ sweet & savory petite delectables.
