Located in Charlotte, North Carolina, The Ballantyne Hotel & Lodge is the region’s premier location for weddings, receptions & rehearsal dinners. Offering more than 30,000 square feet of versatile event space, Ballantyne provides a variety of indoor venues & outdoor event lawns with picturesque views, lush landscaping, terraces and a beautiful grand staircase. Guests enjoy an outdoor & indoor pool, Spa, Golf, dining and the conveniences of the Ballantyne area including shopping, dining & entertainment within walking distance. Groups enjoy great rates and complimentary parking.

Situated on a beautiful golf course, grand terraces and event lawns overlook the 18th Fairway and rolling tree-lined landscape.  The location and stunning picturesque views are ideal for wedding photography.  A professional catering team is dedicated to the planning and execution of your event from start to finish and can assist with regional resources like fine linen & room decor, entertainment and even fireworks displays.  Our team welcomes the most imaginative ideas that will truly elevate your event to make it both memorable and unique, distinctly representing your style.

In addition to wedding ceremonies and receptions, The Ballantyne Hotel & Lodge can assist with rehearsal dinners, departure brunch, golf outings and wedding day spa preparation.

Wedding Event Space Options:

New Event Space
The Outdoor Pool & North Lawn For Receptions

Ballantyne Ballroom, this spacious & elegant event room is the largest inside The Ballantyne Hotel & Lodge. Adjacent to the grand staircase, the Ballantyne Ballroom can accommodate up to 400 guests for a dinner set and more for receptions.

Fairway Ballroom, the second largest event room inside The Ballantyne Hotel & Lodge, offers expansive views of the resort from the 2nd floor clubhouse windows, a stunning view day & night. Fairway Ballroom can accommodate up to 180 for a dinner set.

Union and York
Located below the Grand Staircase, Union and York event rooms offer beautiful event space, reception kiosk at the base of the grand staircase and additional outdoor event terrace. Union and York both provide flexibility and are perfect for smaller gatherings. Union accommodates up to 80 in a dinner set and York accommodates up to 50. The kiosk and Terrace can also be contracted as additional ceremony or reception space.

South Lawn
This outdoor event space has lovely views of the hotel and 18th Fairway. The South Lawn is perfect for outdoor weddings and/or receptions. It can accommodate up to 200 for dinner or 300 for receptions.

Golf Events Pavilion
Available for evening receptions, the golf events pavilion can accommodate 60 for dinner and 120 for a reception. This casual venue has beautiful views and additional green space that can be tented for larger affairs.

The Lodge is truly a unique wedding ceremony and/or reception location, unlike any other facility in the region. Casual yet sophisticated, The 40,000 sq ft Lodge can adapt to any of your preferred design elements. The Lodge offers event space on two floors, outdoor event space, gorgeous views of the hotel and 35 guest rooms. The daily rental of the lodge includes the entire facility and delivers an exclusive feel.

View sample catering menus. In addition to these offerings, we can customize a unique menu exclusively for your event. We understand that many couples have special dietary needs and we work closely with our Chef to accommodate your requests.

Where Should I Begin?
We recommend that you first make an appointment to view our event rooms.  During your appointment, our Catering Managers can review your preliminary ideas and give you the estimated minimum expenses for each event room.  They can also give you resources for additional wedding vendors that you may need during your planning process.  We also recommend that you have at least three possible dates in mind as our larger ballrooms and The Lodge can get sold out quickly for spring and fall weekends. 704-248-4035
