On May 1, 2026, the Whiskey Club at The Ballantyne Hotel in Charlotte, NC, hosts an intimate premium tasting experience for a Tequila Takeover with Volcan Tequila.
For nearly 300 years, the Gallardo family has lived at the foot of the Tequila Volcano the sacred peak that shaped this land and gave it its spirit. We will be exploring the world of Volcan De Mi Tierra, a premium tequila inspired by the rich volcanic soils of Jalisco, Mexico, where the agave plants grow and develop their distinctive character. The name Volcan refers to the Tequila Volcano, whose minerals have shaped the land and contributed to the complexity of this remarkable spirit. As we move through the dinner, you’ll experience how the bright citrus and herbal qualities of the tequila interact with savory dishes, and how the aged expressions bring warm notes of vanilla, spice, and caramel that pair beautifully with dessert.
Guests will enjoy multiple guided tequila pours, curated food pairings designed to complement and elevate individual tasting notes, and an immersive brand education led by a knowledgeable spirits host. The experience is designed for both seasoned collectors and curious newcomers to the world of ultra-premium tequila.
