Fitness & Personal Training
The fitness center offers an extensive selection of cardio and strength training equipment including four treadmills, Life Fitness Cable Motion™ Technology machine, two total body Arc Trainers, Cyclone upright bike and Cyclone recumbent bike. Strength training equipment features Cybex’s Eagle line of machines, including leg press, leg extension, seated leg curl, chest press, incline pull, FT 360 functional trainer and 45-degree back extension. The fitness center also has a 60-pound PowerBlock dumbbell set, two adjustable workout benches, workout mats, yoga mats, stretching table, balls, band and tubes.
For outdoor workouts and yoga, enjoy the north lawn adjacent to the outdoor pool or tree lawn adjacent to the tennis courts near the walking path. Additional outdoor spaces away from private events are also available.
Join instructors Betsy Shuster and Lauren Schwaiger for Sunrise and Sunset Outdoor Yoga on the South Lawn. The Sunrise sessions will be Hatha Yoga, focusing on relaxation, meditation, stress reduction, restoration and flexibility. The Sunset sessions will be Power Vinyasa Yoga, concentrating on strength, sculpting, toning, flexibility and core building. All levels are welcome. Hourly sessions are offered Mondays and Wednesdays at 7pm, Tuesdays and Thursdays at 8am and Saturdays at 8:30am. The cost is $18 per class. Boot Camp at The Ballantyne
Enroll in Boot Camp at The Ballantyne Hotel & Lodge to RE-BOOT for the holidays. Boot Camp, led by personal trainers Nick Bucci and Beth Storlie, incorporates a variety of calisthenics, strength training and stretching. The hourly sessions will be offered September 30 through November 20, Tuesdays and Thursdays at 11:30am and 5:30pm. Sign up for an eight-week package for $280, and receive 15% off when you bring a friend. The package includes four weekly sessions, before and after pictures, body composition measurements, assigned homework/daily workout routines, nutritional counseling, weekly weigh-ins and more. Eight professional trainers are available to help you achieve your fitness goals. Specialties include weight loss, full body conditioning, strength training, core strength, golf fitness, injury recovery, post-surgery rehab, endurance, agility, sport performance training and pre/post-natal fitness.
